Donna Shope

Safety Manager

Donna Shope, a retired USFS Aviation Safety Inspector - Airworthiness with 22 years of experience, joins the Baldwin team with over 35 years in aviation maintenance. Her diverse background includes serving as a Helicopter Crew Chief/Mechanic with the North Carolina Forest Service while simultaneously serving in the military reserves. Donna has been an Airframe and Powerplant mechanic since 1993, holding an Inspector Authorization since 1998. She retired from the U.S. Air Force reserves in 2018 after a remarkable career that began in the U.S. Navy in 1986.


Donna's passion for aviation and her desire to share her knowledge and experience led her to pursue a teaching career. She earned a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science in Aviation Science from Eastern New Mexico University in December 2020 and has logged over 70 hours as a student Private Pilot.


Her commitment to excellence extends beyond her technical skills, as she has been an IBAC (International Business Aviation Council) accredited auditor in IS-BAO (International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations) and IS-BAH (International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling) for a decade, ensuring safety and compliance in the aviation industry.
